I have attached our steel specifications. We are looking for billets or cast ingots from 254mm to 440 mm OD in rounds and round cornered square would be approximately 300mm these would range in length of 4.85m long to 9.55m long. We are looking for 105M2 Carbon steel for most of our product and would require 40Mn4 for most of our European product. Our end product would be railcar axles. We are a fully automated facility which will employ 45 headcount counting management.
At full capacity we have the ability to manufacture 160K axles per year. The forecast for railcar builds in 2010 is 10,000 each car would require 4 axles. This equates to 40,000 axles in 2010 and approximately 100,000 in 2011.
We are currently exploring opportunities in the following countries: India, Brazil, Australia, and Europe, USA.

The needed sheets have dimentions of

3- Application of the sheets the sheets are used in manufacturing the diaphragm
platesfor cement mills. the sheets are notmally cut with oxyacetylene, machined, then heat treated(oil quench and subsequent tempering).
During their service conditions inside the cement mills, the diaphragm plates subjected to high wear and severe impacts. Therfore the sheets should be fully free from cracks, and of adequate quality level (seel cleanliness, internal defects, strength incorporated with
toughness,...etc) in order to fit the application of the sheets indicated before.

TIPPINS DELIVERS EQUIPMENT TO WEIRTON STEEL FOR TCM SHAPE CONTROL SYSTEM UPGRADE AHEAD OF SCHEDULE
May, 2003 Pittsburgh, PATippins has completed the delivery of mechanical equipment for the upgrade to Weirton Steel’s No. 7, 5 Stand Tandem Cold Mill. The equipment was delivered ahead of schedule, to meet the customers accelerated delivery requirement. The entire upgrade was supplied through Industrial Automation Services (IAS) who was the main contractor and supplier of the shape control system, shape measuring roll, and segmented spray bars.Tippins’ supply featured an Entry Guide Box, which included multiple improvements over the existing configuration and will increase productivity and decrease operating costs. This unique design provided an affordable and cost effective solution by providing such features as sideguide and dragboard width adjustments which are automated and remotely controlled to minimize lost time during product width changes.
Tippins’ supply also consisted of a new exit end unit including tensiometer roll, shape roll, holddown roll and new in-stand positive and negative work roll bending cylinders.
Through the efforts of IAS, Tippins and Weirton Steel, this system, when fully commissioned, will signicantly improve strip flatness performance of the mill. (More Info) |

TIPPINS SUCCESSFULLY SUPPLIES AND COMMISSIONS COIL PREPARATION STATION FOR CORUS, L.P.
May, 2003Pittsburgh, PATippins has successfully completed the supply and startup of an aluminum coil preparation station for Corus, L.P. at their Cap-de-la-Madeleine, Quebec, Canada foil mill. The Coil Preparation and associated equipment, which was delivered within the contract schedule, has been fully commissioned including the mechanical, fluid systems, and automation equipment, and is currently in full production.Tippins’ equipment supplied as part of the coil prep station included such items as a mandrel-less uncoiler a driven entry snubber roll assembly a combination pinch roll / flattener unit pneumatic crop shear a pivoting and telescoping scrap tub carry-over table a scrap rewinding mandrel complete with coil stripper and snubber roll a tilting coil discharge table new hydraulic equipment as well as new electrical and automation equipment. The prep station can process coils of varying aluminum alloys ranging in thickness from 0.002 inch to 0.100 inch and having a 78” (max.) diameter, 61” (max.) width, and weights up to 25,000 lbs. The new equipment will allow Corus, L.P. to realize a total processing cycle time of 140 seconds.
